I have tried other places in port Charlotte Punta Gorda and north port and nothing is like it! Everything is always FRESH the chicken actually tastes like chicken not dark mysterious meat, the veggie fried rice is hands down the best I’ve had! You guys do a great job at making you feel welcome! Even have snacks and treats for the kiddos! I’ll drive 20 min every other week sometimes once a week for them. Wouldn’t go anywhere else and trust me I have tried other places people said to try and just wasn’t the same. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Food was so good, fried rice was very tasty. There was so much, we took some home. Staff very friendly, gonna make this a favorite on our list of go to places.
FRESH FOOD! I ordered vegetable based items and requested specific vegetables and a human sauce for the garden vegetable dish. The hunan sauce was in a separate container which is great because we could control quantity of sauce. Vegetables fresh, hot, no greasy, oily, over seasoned food. The takeout is efficient polite and the best in Port Charlotte/ Punta Gorda area for Chinese-American style takeout.Port Charlotte-Punta Gorda, North Port area is very limited in cuisine or great variety and cooking. It is mostly chain restaurants and American versions of any ethnic food. I don’t order the other meat dishes, fried items at any restaurant-but the two simple vegetable lo menu and garden vegetable dishes at Golden China are predictable, fresh, and good.
My husband and I stopped in about an hour before close and were greeted right away even though the restaurant was empty by that time (which is typical for our town at 9:30 p.m.). The man who took our order even helped make sure I got the crab ragoons I wanted instead of the fried wontons I asked for (silly white girl mistake) without making me feel bad. While waiting for our food, we noticed all the little touches that made the place feel like it was more than just a restaurant. It felt like getting to know someone elses culture and being welcomed in. Not only was our food promptly cooked, but it was also pipeing hot when we got home and absolutely delicious. We can't wait to eat our leftovers tomorrow .
So yummy and refreshing! I'm a new transplant and do you KNOW how long it's been since I found a GREAT sit-down Chinese restaurant?! I'm sad im only here for lunch! THIS is the kind of place I want to sit down and have a scorpion bowl and a flaming pupu platter {no idea if they're on the menu}. I ordered the sweet n sour chicken lunch special with the spring rolls and was so pleased to have such fresh, well prepared food for once! Not greasy, great customer service- just wow. I WILL be back. Nice ambiance, clean, friendly, TASTY, and it is NOT a day care! In Asian culture the family is above all, and I'm sorry other reviewers are judgmental and uneducated. I felt the 9 year old was very professional and helpful, and wished my 7 y.o. was around to see!! Old people

Sorry for the pictures; Although they were taken after we finished, they certainly capture the essence of the experience. My family and I are regular customers, and we’ve consistently enjoyed the food. It’s by far the best Chinese cuisine in town, and we’ve never been disappointed.
